Banner motifs and finish
One side shows Jesus Christ wearing a crown of thorns. The image is rendered in shades of gray. A decorative frame with silver botanical ornaments surrounds it. The botanical details set the portrait apart from its background and create a strong visual contrast.
On the reverse, a cross appears with a draped garment and a crown of thorns. The silver cross forms a distinct symbolic composition. Decorative silver fringe completes the piece and gives it an elegant, solemn finish.
Printing makes the piece lightweight, easy to carry, and practical during processions. It retains a solemn, dignified, and formal appearance. Its black palette and religious imagery reinforce its funerary character.
Liturgical use
The piece is suitable for funeral ceremonies and funeral processions. It is also suitable for services for the deceased and observances of All Souls’ Day. It can be used during the Stations of the Cross and Passion services. It is also intended for celebrations during Lent and Holy Week.
The staff shown in the photograph is for presentation only. It is not included with the set. A staff can be purchased separately on our website.
The image of the Suffering Jesus Christ in the crown of thorns symbolizes His Passion and sacrifice. His contemplative face and upward gaze reinforce the depiction’s profound, Passion-centered character.
The cross with the draped garment and crown of thorns refers to the Passion, death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Its silver motif emphasizes Christian hope for eternal life.
