Orphrey, Collar and Sleeve Trim
The styling is elegant, classic and understated. The decorative fabric is also used on the collar and at the sleeve edges. This keeps the vestment's appearance cohesive and harmonious.
Gold trim outlines the edges and creates a subtle contrast with the fabric. The restrained gold details give the vestment a solemn and dignified character, suitable for mournful and prayerful liturgies.
Liturgical Use and Cross Motif
The liturgical chasuble is intended primarily for the celebration of Masses for the dead, funeral liturgies and mournful services, in accordance with local liturgical practice. It may also be used during observances associated with the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed on November 2.
The cross motif recalls the Passion and death of Christ. It also expresses Christian hope in the Resurrection and eternal life.
