White Chalice Linen Set with IHS embroidery

A set based on the contrast between white fabric and gold embroidery. The pall is decorated with the IHS monogram surmounted by a cross, set within a symmetrical Baroque-style frame of acanthus leaves and vine motifs. The embroidery covers the entire surface of the pall, extending to the serrated gold border. The purificator and towel are made from white cotton fabric, decorated with a small gold cross embroidery and a white embroidered wave pattern along the lower edge.

Materials and finishing of the Chalice Linen Set elements

The pall and corporal are made from polyester fabric — 100% polyester — finished with a coating that helps maintain an elegant appearance. The embroidery on the pall is worked in gold threads with dense filling, characteristic of Baroque-style ornamentation. The purificator and towel are sewn from white cotton fabric and finished with a white embroidered wave pattern at the bottom.

Four elements of the white Chalice Linen Set

Pall — approx. 17 × 17 cm, made from white polyester fabric with an embroidered IHS monogram surrounded by gold ornamentation of leaves and floral scrollwork, finished with a gold serrated border and a protective coating. It is used to cover the chalice during the liturgy.

Corporal — approx. 47 × 47 cm, made from white polyester fabric with a protective coating. The edges are finished with an embroidered wave pattern. It is spread on the altar beneath the chalice and paten.

Purificator — approx. 47 × 24 cm, made from white cotton fabric with a gold embroidered cross in the centre and a white embroidered wave pattern at the bottom. It is used to wipe the chalice and paten during Mass.

Towel — approx. 47 × 24 cm, made from white cotton fabric with a gold embroidered cross and a white embroidered wave pattern at the bottom. It is used to dry the celebrant’s hands during the lavabo rite.

When should white Chalice Linen be used?

White is the liturgical colour symbolising joy, purity, and glory. It is used primarily during the Christmas and Easter seasons, as well as on solemnities and feasts of the Lord, of the Blessed Virgin Mary, of angels, and on commemorations of saints who were not martyrs. The set is packed in a box with a window, making it suitable as a gift for a first Mass or an ordination anniversary.
