Knop, base and finish
Beneath the bowl, a decorative knop is placed above a stable, shaped base. The smooth, lustrous surface, subtle ornamentation, classic form, and careful finish give the vessel a formal, elegant appearance suited to the solemn character of the liturgy.
The fitted lid is completed by the decorative cross. The profiled base provides stability, while the knop adds a distinct ornamental element beneath the bowl. Together, these details give the vessel a representative appearance that coordinates with other liturgical vessels.
Communion and storage use
The vessel is intended for distributing Holy Communion under both kinds during Mass and solemn Eucharistic celebrations. Its internal arrangement allows the vessels to be prepared for Communion under the forms of bread and wine.
After the internal accessories are removed, it can serve as a traditional ciborium for storing hosts and the Blessed Sacrament, including in a tabernacle. This use makes it practical for everyday celebrations as well as church ceremonies attended by larger congregations.
The arrangement provides convenient preparation during Eucharistic celebrations. The vessel has a liturgical and Eucharistic character and serves as a practical, dignified piece of equipment for a church, chapel, or sacristy. Its form combines everyday function with an elegant appearance.
