Embroidered Chasuble of St. Francis – Cream with Franciscan Motifs
This elegant chasuble is made from high-quality, soft, and breathable liturgical fabric in a classic cream color, symbolizing simplicity, humility, and joy. The shade harmonizes perfectly with Franciscan spirituality, rooted in the love of poverty and simplicity.
The front of the vestment features a meticulously embroidered image of St. Francis of Assisi, depicted in his traditional brown habit with open arms, set against a stylized tau cross. The embroidery is crafted with great attention to detail — white doves, symbols of peace, and various creatures beloved by St. Francis as brothers and sisters, are clearly visible.
The back of the chasuble is adorned with the embroidered Franciscan symbol: the cross and the crossed hands of Christ and St. Francis — a reference to the saint’s deep union with the Crucified and his fidelity to the evangelical calling. This motif is one of the most recognizable symbols of the Franciscan Order.
The entire vestment is finished with a delicate gold trim that subtly highlights the shape and character of the chasuble without diminishing its Franciscan simplicity.
