The compact format makes the set convenient for travel and easy to store. It is particularly useful for visits to the sick, pastoral ministry in the field, and pastoral visits. It also serves when basic liturgical equipment is needed in a handy form.

Outside a permanent liturgical space, it is intended for administering the sacraments. The result is a practical, mobile liturgical set for priestly ministry beyond the church.
